In Michelangelo and DaVinci’s day, art students trained by copying the masters. I always admired this and when Trader Joe’s asked me to create The Trader Joe’s Museum of Art in their Westfield, New Jersey store - I was stoked!

I poured over art books to find masterpieces that were readily recognized by the average American and set about finding subtle ways I could “Trader Joe-ize” them.
