I learned how to do voice-overs from an unlikely source. My mom. She was a professional nightclub singer-stylist and raconteur extraordinaire. When my mother told a story - it lived. She knew just how to narrate it, with wry subtle inflection and easily jump in and out of all the characters, drawn from life. She was an inately funny and smart woman who's ease with storytelling made voice-overs seem comfy and familiar to me.
